Accomodation Guide

Portmarnock Hotel Accomodation Guide

This modern hotel boasts a classical seaside links course, designed by Bernhard Langer, set on 180 acres and located only 15 minutes by road from Dublin Airport.
The ancient 12th century church of the local saint, St. Marnock, stands on the verge of this beautiful new 18-hole course, with stunning views of Martello Tower and the twin green offshore islands of Lambay and Ireland's Eye. Overlooking the course is the former Jameson (of whiskey fame) family home, now carefully redeveloped into a hotel, where elegance, style and tradition are tastefully blended to create perfect harmony.

The hotel now boasts over 100 luxury bedrooms, a superbly appointed first-class restaurant, bars and full conference and function facilities. Whether on business, holidays, golfing, relaxing, walking, yachting or driving, the lovely Portmarnock flora and magical scenery are a never-ending source of delight. The Links, as it’'s known, with its views and splendid credentials has everything a golfer could wish for.

The most apt description of the course at The Links, was offered by Bill Robertson in 'Todays Golfer', when he said: "The Links Portmarnock is like looking at an old painting after it has been restored: The colours appear fresh and rich, with the bunkers sharp and well defined. And you find yourself wondering if this is how the great historical links courses like St. Andrews would have looked just after the final piece of turf had been laid in place".

ROOMS: 103 en-suite bedrooms including 6 suites. Each guestroom offers either a view of the sea or the golf course. All are furnished to the highest standards and every modern convenience ensures maximum comfort for each guest.

LOCATION: Eastern Ireland, 30 minutes north of Dublin City

FACILITIES: 18 hole, Bernhard Langer designed Links golf course • Archery • Clay Pigeon Shooting • Fishing (available nearby) • Leisure Centre - Sauna, Swimming Pool, Gymnasium etc. (available nearby)

NEARBY GOLF COURSES: The course on site at Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links is one of the very best. The superb courses within 30 minutes drive or less include Portmarnock, Baltray (County Louth), The Island and Royal Dublin. Other great courses within a short drive are Druids Glen, The K Club, Powerscourt, The European Club and Rathsallagh.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Being only 30 minutes from Dublin City, all that Ireland's capital city has to offer is easily accessible from Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links. Museums, art galleries, superb restaurants, nightlife and great shopping all abound in Ireland's historical capital city. The heather covered hill of Howth is just north of the hotel and offers splendid views of the coastline.
